资源简介:
Intense heat fluxes from fusion plasmas bombards the divertor part in a tokamak reactor and jeopardizing their integrity. The divertor survivability can be highly increased by operating in the detachment regime, where the plasma bulk recombines before reaching the material. Detachment experiments have been carried out in the linear plasma device Magnum-PSI by increasing the gas pressure near the target. This paper aims to model the observed detached plasma using the B2.5-Eunomia plasma fluid, neutral kinetic Monte Carlo code and quantitatively compare the simulation results with experimental data. It is shown that B2.5-Eunomia is capable of reproducing the characteristics of detachment observed in Magnum-PSI. The simulation results will be further analyzed to identify the relevant collisional processes in detachment in future studies.
