The data set offers individual brain connectivity maps obtained from 80 patients using functional MRI (Mueller, et al., Brain Communications). For each participant, the data set provides two variants of network centrality maps (GCOR, global correlation; EC, eigenvector centrality) and seed-based correlation maps using the precuneus as seed region.
The data set contains four centrality zip-files:
(1) GCOR.zip: global correlation;
(2) GCOR_Friston24.zip: global correlation with denoising using the Friston24 model instead of six motion parameters
(3) GCOR_NewFilt.zip: global correlation with a temporal high-pass filter of 0.01 Hz instead of 0.025 Hz
(4) ECM.zip: eigenvector centrality
All four centrality zip-files include the following analyses:
(a) ANA_fullfact: Full-factorial design including three groups of patients: (1) patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) with heart failure, (2) CAD patients without heart failure, and (3) patients without CAD
(b) ANA_onesample_LVEF1: Correlation between centrality and the initial left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)
(c) ANA_onesample_LVEF2: Correlation between centrality and the follow-up LVEF
(d) ANA_onesample_NTproBNP1: Correlation between centrality and the initial value of the N-terminal fragment of the prohormone brain-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)
(e) ANA_onesample_NTproBNP2: Correlation between centrality and the follow-up NT-proBNP
ALL models contain age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) as nuisance covariates. In addition, both files GCOR.zip and ECM.zip contain further directories: Analyses are re-calculated using the precuneus gray matter density (GMD) as an additional nuisance covariate (named by the extension "_GMD", i.e. "ANA_onesample_LVEF1_GMD"). Analyses are repeated again using nuisance covariates for cardiovascular risk factors as diabetes mellitus, smoking, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and the Fazekas score (named by the extension "_cardiorisk", i.e. "ANA_onesample_LVEF1_cardiorisk"). These analyses also contain the total intracranial volume (TIV) as a covariate of no interest.
The file corr.zip contains the following seed-based correlation analyses with the precuneus as seed region:
(a) ANA_fullfact: Full-factorial design including 2x2 design with the factors "heart failure" and "cognitive performance"
(b) ANA_twosample: Two-sample t-test using cognitive performance as continuous variable
Both types of analyses are included with and without adding precuneus GMD as an additional nuisance covariate (named by the extension "_GMD", i.e. "ANA_twosample_GMD").
