VPRS 19723 Medical Superintendent's Reports

This series comprises volumes and files recording reports from the Kingston Centre’s (VA 1278) Medical Superintendent. The reports were prepared on an irregular basis until February 1959, when they began to be prepared monthly. From 1975 - 1980, reports were again prepared frequently, but not regularly.  The reports provide a variety of statistical information, including but not limited to admissions, discharges, deaths, beds occupied, transfers to other hospitals, re-admissions from other hospitals, influenza vaccine injections, day hospital patients, waiting lists, and results of treatment. The Medical Superintendent also reported on subjects including staffing, the Geriatric Unit, the Day Hospital, grounds, buildings/facilities, sheltered workshop, Eastwood Hostel, visits and conferences. Note that reports for the years 1970 - 1974 are not in PROV’s custody.
