Paenibacillus sp. D9 strain:D9 Genome sequencing and assembly. Paenibacillus sp. D9 strain:D9

We report here the complete genome sequence of Paenibacillus sp. Strain D9 isolated from the diesel contaminated soil collected from Durban, South Africa. Degradation of diesel and other long chain hydrocarbon and production of biosurfactants makes this organism a versatile bioinoculum. Presence of commercially important proteins apart from its ability to degrade diesel and engine oil makes this organism unique and thus genome sequencing.
