Projected economic impact of climate extremes on critical infrastructures in Europed Item

Projections of multiple climate risks to critical infrastructures in Europe are reported in this dataset. Data refer to the analyses presented in the article entitled “<i>Escalating impacts of climate extremes on critical infrastructures in Europe</i>“ (Forzieri et al., 2018). Estimates of expected annual damage from heatwaves, cold waves, droughts, wildfires, river and coastal floods and windstorms on energy, transport, industrial, and social critical infrastructures in Europe are provided up to the year 2100 under a business-as-usual scenario of climate warming. Impacts are generated from an ensemble of climate models and spatially aggregated at NUT2 level.
