猪细小病毒为细小病毒科细小病毒属成员。病毒粒子无囊膜，直径约20nm，基因组为单股DNA，约5.2Kb。病毒对热具有较强抵抗力，56℃48小时或70℃2小时病毒的感染性和血凝性均无明显改变，但80℃5分钟可使感染性和血凝活性均丧失。无囊膜、球形或六角形，对热、消毒药和酸碱的抵抗力均很强，能凝集豚鼠、鸡、大鼠和小鼠等动物的红细胞.Porcine Parvovirus belongs to the genus Parvovirus within the family Parvoviridae. The non-enveloped viral particles have a diameter of approximately 20 nm, with a single-stranded DNA genome of about 5.2 kb. The virus exhibits strong heat resistance: neither its infectivity nor hemagglutinating activity is significantly altered after incubation at 56℃ for 48 hours or 70℃ for 2 hours, but both infectivity and hemagglutinating activity are completely abolished when incubated at 80℃ for 5 minutes. The non-enveloped virions are spherical or hexagonal in morphology, and display strong resistance to heat, disinfectants, as well as acidic and alkaline environments. It is capable of agglutinating red blood cells from animals including guinea pigs, chickens, rats, mice and other species.
