The Spatio-temporal Dataset of Remote Sensing Monitoring for China's Land Resources encompasses current status data and their corresponding dynamic change data for three land resource factors—land use, land cover, and soil erosion—covering the late 1980s, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020. This dataset retains core characteristics including vector data format, three-level classification system, and the integration of dynamic changes and current status. It can effectively reflect the conditions of China's land resource environment across different periods and the change patterns over various time spans since the late 1980s. Its data products have long supported macro decision-making at the national and local levels, and have been widely applied in ministries such as the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as well as universities including Peking University, Nanjing University and numerous research institutions. It has become an important scientific data foundation for resource and environmental planning, management and research.
