资源简介:
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Louisville District archaeological collections were sent to the Veterans Curation Program’s (VCP) St. Louis laboratory in May 2011. The VCP St. Louis laboratory is a USACE, St. Louis District’s Mandatory Center of Expertise for the Curation and Management of Archaeological Collections program, which is staffed through Brockington and Associates, Inc., an archaeological contract firm located in Norcross, Georgia.
The procedures employed by the St. Louis VCP to re-house the archaeological material from the Field School at Sites 12G9 and 12G10 1975–1976 investigation are discussed below. In the re-housing process of each investigative effort of the USACE, Louisville District collection, the same standard procedures and Applied Archaeology Laboratories, Ball State University (AAL) guidelines followed. Upon completion of this curation management project, collections were sent to AAL for permanent curation.
