consolidated and innovative photo driven advanced oxidation processes against pathogenic and antibiotic resistant bacteria in secondary treated municipal wastewater

The effect of a new photo Fenton process on antibiotic resistance was investigated in the using a consolidated photo driven AOP (namely UV-C-H2O2) as benchmark (Rizzo et al., 2019). Processes efficiency was compared in terms of bacterial comm composition and relative abundance of potential human pathogenic bacteria in an laboratory experiment. All the above mentioned parameters were analyzed before and after treatments and after an enrichment of 24h in two different experimental conditions i) 37C in a reach medium (LB) and ii) 20C without any supplement . Negative controls are filtration and extraction controls.
