This series comprises of records created by the Corporate Affairs Department of the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH, VA 1048). It consists of a single incident file maintained by the Corporate Affairs Department relating to the possible exposure of Creuztfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) to patients at the RMH that occurred in 2004. It includes briefings, correspondence with the Department of Health, information from the CJD reference panel, media releases, and details of RMH sterilization and surgical instrument tracking processes.
