Subsurface oil concentrations measured after the Deepwater Horizon spill, aggregated from NOAA Diver portal, 2010-05-15 to 2011-11-20

This dataset contains subsurface oil concentration data drawn from the NOAA Diver Portal (https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/deepwater-horizon-diver-system/archive/WaterColumn/). The oil concentration is used together with an oil weather model to provide input to Subsurface Oil Simulator (SOSim), a Bayesian model to predict the spreading of subsurface oil post-spill. The SOSim simulation of the Deepwater Horizon spill is available in the related dataset under GRIIDC Unique Dataset Identifier (UDI) R6.x812.000:0002 (doi: 10.7266/n7-qsr6-gr54) and the SOSim model code in related dataset UDI R6.x812.000:0005 (doi: 10.7266/n7-dgsh-kh04).
