资源简介:
Traveling Waves in the Human Visual Cortex: an MEG-EEG Model-Based Approach This repository contains data and scripts related to the publication:Traveling Waves in the Human Visual Cortex: an MEG-EEG Model-Based ApproachLaetitia Grabot, Garance Merholz, Jonathan Winawer, David J. Heeger, Laura DuguébioRxiv 2024.10.09.617389; doi: https://doi.org/10.1101/2024.10.09.617389  [in press in PLOS Computational Biology] We used an encoding approach to characterize local traveling waves in MEG-EEG data. Traveling waves are first modeled using traveling waves equation mapped on the primary visual cortex. The simulated brain activity is then projected onto the sensors (MEG and EEG). The predicted activity within sensors can then be compared to empirical data. Different models testing different hypotheses on the propagation of neural activity (e.g. with different temporal or spatial frequency, or a specific direction) can be tested against each other. The code to run the model is in the 2_code_toolbox folder. We advice to download the data from 3_example_dataset to run the minimal example script available with the code. The latest code can be found on GitHub at https://github.com/LaetitiaG/wavesmodel. The code and data in 1_code_figures aims at reproducing the figures 4 and 5 of the article.  The full MEG/EEG/MRI dataset can be found in the 4_full_dataset folder (divided in 14 zip volumes named full_dataset.zip.00X). Please download the 14 zip volumes within the same folder, then unzipping the first volume will automatically unzip the full dataset. Metadata for each folder will be found in the README.txt.
