SoundingEarth

The dataset, named SoundingEarth, contains audio samples exclusively sourced from Aporee:Radio, which results in lower sound type variability compared to the GeoSound dataset. As all samples originate from the same source, the performance gap between models trained with and without metadata is relatively small. The objective of this task is cross-modal retrieval between audio and satellite imagery.
