Data for noble gases extracted from samples from the Siljan impact structure (Sweden)
收藏资源简介:
Data published in Chemical Geology in the paper entitled "Noble Gases in Shocked Igneous Rocks from the 380 Ma-old Siljan Impact Structure (Sweden): A Search for Paleo-Atmospheric Signatures". The dataset includes the following details from gas release during crushing experiments conducted on the Siljan samples: - Sample information: Names and geographic locations relative to the impact structure's center. - Shock data: Recorded shock pressures and the percentage of shocked quartz showing planar deformation features (PDFs). - Gas measurements: Abundances of noble gases (Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe) reported in units of cm³ STP g⁻¹. - Isotopic ratios: Data on Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe isotopic ratios. - Elemental ratios and F values for ²⁰Ne, ⁸⁴Kr, and ¹³⁰Xe obtained. This dataset provides insights into the presence and behavior of noble gases within the context of shocked igneous rocks, potentially revealing paleo-atmospheric signatures.
