Brazil: types of social media accounts followed Q3 2023

As of the third quarter of 2023, the most common type of social media account followed by internet users in Brazil were closer contacts like friends, family, and people they knew - about 61.7 percent of the Brazilian online users did so. Bands, singers, and musicians were the second most followed type of social media accounts in the country with approximately 42.4 percent of internet users in Brazil following such accounts, with a similar number of respondents who claimed to follow influencers and experts.
