资源简介:
Due to their key role in signalling processes the investigation of the interaction between peripheral membrane proteins and membranes is of great interest. Although in many cases studied with computational methods, the resulting models lack often experimental evidence. In our study we want to combine simulations with neutron reflectometry to examine the interaction between the membrane targeting domain of Kindlin2 and TIAM2 protein and their target membrane, respectively. For both, the structural basis of membrane recognition and how it may regulate the protein functions is poorly understood. Investigating the protein-lipid interactions with neutron reflectometry will provide insights of the protein and lipid distribution across the protein-membrane complex. This information will be used to guide the simulations so a fully atomistic understanding of the interactions will be obtained.
