Streamwatch Sites; corrected coordinates up to July 2015

These data provide best estimates of the geographic location for 542 Streamwatch sites that were established between December 1990 and July 2015. Sites and their associated Streamwatch group were extracted from the decommissioned Oracle database that was used to house water quality data acquired through the citizen science program known as Streamwatch. The program supported volunteers to measure physical and chemical parameters of water quality across the Greater Sydney region, New South Wales, Australia. The revised coordinates are located in the columns labelled; ‘Latitude_update’ and ‘Longitude update’. Local government area (LGA_Portal) information may be out of date due to subsequent amalgamations. The creation of this spreadsheet was to provide a more correct, partially ground truthed resource of geospatial locations for sites listed in the file, ‘Streamwatch survey data 07121990_08062016’. Date format is dd/mm/yyyy.No effort to revise or validate coordinates for sites with less than 20 records was made. <br>
