The surgery for the patients with intestinal non‑Hodgkin lymphomas: a nationwide study

The treatment strategy for intestinal non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and the role of surgery warrant reevaluation. This study analyzed clinical data from a cohort of 12,047 patients diagnosed with intestinal NHL, extracted from the Korean National Health Insurance System database between 2002 and 2021. Among these patients, 3,566 (29.6%) were categorized into the surgery group, while 8,481 (70.4%) were included in the nonsurgery group. A prospective randomized study evaluating strategies to improve the survival of intestinal NHL patients is needed.
