Methylobacterium sp. 121 was isolated from soil as a co-culture with Kaistia sp. 32K. These two bacteria support each other's growth when co-cultured in a minimal medium containing D-glucose, and at the same time, motility of Methylobacterium sp. 121 enhanced by twofold. The goal of this study is to know molecular mechanism underling these phenomenon.
