Dataset related to publication: Numerical analysis of the influence of wall roughness on the turbulent boundary layer separation. The dataset contains the LES data from related publication presented in the form of velocity, fluctuations and wall-shear profiles as well as 2D statistical flow fields. The results are obtained with ANSYS Fluent LES for 6 m/s inlet velocity calculations of a channel flow over flat and wavy surfaces.The LES research was carried out as part of project No. 2020/39/B/ST8/01449, financed by the National Science Centre (Poland).For details on .plt file format please refer to the Tecplot documentation: https://www.tecplot.com/2016/09/16/tecplot-data-file-types-dat-plt-szplt/The links of files to particular figures from the related publication are written in metadata of files.Abstract of the study:Passive control of turbulent boundary layer (TBL) separation in a channel with adverse pressure gradient (APG) condition towards the outlet is investigated using Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) methods and Large Eddy simulations (LES) with the help of commercial ANSYS software. Isothermal and incompressible flow in the near-wall area of the flat plate as well as various configurations of wavy wall is studied. It is shown that the amplitude and period of the waviness significantly influence the near wall region and point of separation.
