These data support article https://doi.org/10.1016/j.envexpbot.2022.105065 "Biotic stress-induced and ripening-related anthocyanin biosynthesis are regulated by alternate phytohormone signals in blueberries" by Catrin S. Günther, Blue J. Plunkett, Janine M. Cooney, Dwayne J. J. Jensen, Tania Trower, Caitlin Elborough, Han M. Nguyen, Cecilia Deng, Declan J. Lafferty, Nick W. Albert, Andrew P. Dare, Richard V. Espley. Datasets were collected and analysed as described in the manuscript to highlight the following findings -Biotic stress induced anthocyanin biosynthesis in non-pigmented blueberry flesh -In stressed fruit, abscisic acid was catabolised and salicylic acid content increased -In ripening fruit, abscisic acid metabolism was higher in fruit skin than flesh -Alternate signals induced stress-related and ripening-related anthocyanins
