Food preparations completed by Shawi Indigenous Families in the Peruvian Amazon

Data were collected between February and June 2021 to investigate the diet among Shawi Indigenous communities in the Balsapuerto District, Loreto region, located on the eastern slopes of the northern Peruvian Amazon. Four families were invited to participate, and each family prepared seven food preparations. These preparations are described in terms of their ingredients, frequency of consumption, and the family members who typically consume them.<br>
