Poncirus polyandra, a plant species with extremely small populations endemic to Yunnan Province, has been extinct in the wild. The aim of this study is to mine the functional genes for improving tolerance to abiotic and biotic stresses. This is the first genome-scale assembly and annotation for P. polyandra, which would be useful for genetic, genomic and molecular research and provide guidance to develop conservation strategies.
