Investigation by reverse genetics of host response antagonism and reassortment potential for Cache Valley and Kairi viruses, two emerging orthobunyaviruses of the Americas

Orthobunyaviruses such as Cache Valley virus and Kairi virus are important animal pathogens. Here we determined the sequences of the L, M and S segments of these viruses from infected cells or supernatants of infected cells, for the purpose of establishing reverse genetics systems.
