Supplementary Information for the Gender Pay Gap in NYC

This repository contains the replication materials for "If You Can Make It Here, You Still Earn Less: Gender Wage Gaps and Occupational Segregation in New York City," a study of gender wage inequality and occupational segregation in New York City. The files include all data-processing scripts, decomposition code, and supplementary tables used to generate the results reported in the manuscript. R script for data cleaning, construction of analytic variables, and generation of descriptive statistics and figures. Stata code implementing both the baseline Oaxaca–Blinder decomposition and the extended across-/within-occupation decomposition following Zveglich and Rodgers (2004). Supplementary Tables (CSV/Excel), including detailed occupational classifications, summary statistics, decomposition outputs, and residualized wage analyses. The repository is intended to support transparency and reproducibility. It allows researchers to inspect the full analytic workflow, adapt the extended decomposition framework, and compare occupational patterns in other cities or regions.
