Data for: Geospatial analysis of soil carbon dioxide and methane fluxes: Geomorphic legacy in a Canadian Shield hemiboreal forest
收藏资源简介:
Soil physical, hydrological and biogeochemical properties and soil surface carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) fluxes at 20 soil gas flux collars in a 1.56 ha (130 m x 120 m) plot of hemiboreal forest near Deep River, Ontario, Canada (46.1619 N, 77.620 W), measured in August 2023. Collars are located on washed glacial till (n = 5) and glaciofluvial sand (n = 15) on the Canadian Shield. Variables include collar coordinates (UTM NAD83 Zone 18T), surface elevation, particle size (d10, d60), coefficient of uniformity, saturated hydraulic conductivity, bulk density, porosity, soil organic carbon, gravimetric and volumetric water content, water saturation ratio, vadose zone thickness, soil temperature, and CO2 and CH4 fluxes (mean of four LI-COR chamber measurements per collar). CO2 fluxes are positive (emission) and CH4 fluxes are negative (uptake). See README.txt for methods, units and column definitions.
