USV-Derived High-Resolution Bathymetry of High-Risk Glacial Lakes and a Semi-Arid Ecosystem Lake in the Himalaya

High-resolution bathymetric data for Gepang Gath, Kadu Nala, and Chandra Tal were collected using an unmanned surface vessel (USV; Geomate Model 1 Pro) equipped with a D270 single-beam echo sounder and a DGNSS–RTK positioning system. Depth measurements were acquired along pre-planned transects at ~1 m intervals, ensuring dense and systematic spatial coverage, with minor deviations in glacial lakes due to the presence of ice. Raw data were processed in Easysail software by applying attitude corrections and exported as georeferenced (.csv) files. These files contain key attributes including Sl. No., Identifier, Date of Acquisition, Time, Latitude (N), Longitude (E), and Depth (m).
