资源简介:
This dataset assesses upstream passage windows for large anadromous fish at the Haringvliet estuarine sluices, prior to sluice management adjustments. The NEDAP Trail System® (telemetry) is used to determine long-term (1996–2018) sluice passage for Atlantic salmon, sea trout, and sea lamprey. This datasets quantifies the timing, sluice management and environmental conditions of successful passage events and evaluates the role of river discharge for upstream migration and river entry choice. It also assesses the potential loss of passage windows due to the estuarine sluices.
The dataset provides detections of fishes and corresponding environmental and sluice management data, highlighting species-specific passage differences and the barrier effect of the estuarine sluices. The dataset is made public both to act as supplementary data for the publication and the PhD thesis of M.P. Meijer zu Schlochtern, and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work.
Fish tagging, detection and NEDAP station data (NEDAP Trail System®) was obtained and collected via ATKB and is owned bij Rijkswaterstaat (and made openly available). Environmental and sluice management data was obtained via Rijkswaterstaat, but is also openly available via https://waterinfo.rws.nl Wind data is retrieved from the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) and is openly available via https://daggegevens.knmi.nl/
