The heterogenity of aortic valve cells present at birth which contruibute to during postnatal maturation is unknown. We utilized single nuclear gene expression profiling to understand the transcritptionally diverse cell type subpopulations present at postnatal day which contribute to postnatal valve maturation. Aortic valve structures were issolated from postnatal day 1 mouse pups and flash frozen, valve structures were pooled (n=3 pooled aortic structures replicates, 22-24 aortic roots per replicate). Nuclei were issolated and subjected to single nuclear gene expression profiling utilizing 10X genomics technology.
