RNA-seq of MV4;11 cells treated with Methyl Bestatin or Brefeldin A

We report the application of RNA-seq for profiling gene transcription upon treatment of methyl bestatin (MeBs, aminopeptidase inhibitor) or brefeldin A (BFA, ER-to-Golgi transport inhibitor), compared to DMSO control. We found MeBs and BFA similarly upregulated genes pertinent to proteotoxic stress. Overall design: Examination of gene transcription levels upon treatment of MeBs or BFA in Caspase-1 (CASP1) knockout MV4;11 cells over the course of 6 hours, compared to DMSO control. 4 replicates were analyzed per sample.
