Facing the global need for XDR-TB surveillance, closely monitoring pre-XDR-TB and XDR-TB prevalence and transmission in the region, we undertooka WGS-based analysis of MDR-TB clinical isolates in RS to identify mutationsconferring resistance to first-line anti-TB drugs, as well as FQs, kanamycin(KAN), and capreomycin (CAP) in bacteriologically confirmed DR-TB clinicalisolates.
