ESTABLISHING THE QUASAR MODE FEEDBACK WITH NUSTAR AND XMM-NEWTON
收藏资源简介:
Recent Herschel observations have identified powerful largescale molecularoutflows in ultraluminous infrared galaxies, indicating that AGN feedback canindeed influence star formation and galaxy evolution. Theoretical modelsdescribing the formation of such largescale outflows require a putative innerAGN accretion disk wind. We found the first evidence of such a wind inIRASF11119+3257, in the form of blueshifted Fe XXV/XXVI absorption lines withvelocity 0.25c. However, just one object does not allow to establish thevalidity of such mechanism. Here, we request simultaneous 150ks NuSTAR and 90ksXMMNewton observations of the next most promising ULIRG, IRASF051892524, tocharacterize its disk wind and conclusively establish the mechanism of quasar mode feedback. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
