The documents date from 1996 to 1999. The final report was written in 1999, which explains the date in the collection name. The range of dates also includes background records. The documents were received with other document collections from the Strom Thurmond Lake area. The documents were originally housed in acidic folders inside acidic bankers boxes. The documents were generally in good condition and required minimal cleaning and mending. Metal contaminants and tears were found in various documents. The metal contaminants were removed, and the tears were mended with acid-free mending tissue tape. Some of the documents that were missing portions of the pages were also mended with acid-free paper and acid-free mending tissue tape. Personal information, including an account number, was removed from Folder 2/1.
