Rhizosphere microbiota of pepper plants with and without bacterial disease

We have incubated pepper plants with and without inoculation of pathogenic bacterium to induce bacterial spot disease. We also treated some other bacterial strains on the pepper plants to prevent the bacterial disease. From the incubations, we collected the rhizosphere soils and analyzed the microbiota using bacterial 16S rRNA gene (v4 region) by applying Illumina iSeq 100 platform and following NGS procedures. The bacterial community structures were meant to be compared for potential contributing microorganisms and possible bioagents for disease prevention.
