A metagenomics-based workflow for the foodborne GBS detection and genomic characterisation in raw freshwater fish

Using invasive foodborne GBS (Group B Streptococcus) as an example, this work represents a study that supports the feasibility and validity of metagenomics as a rapid and accurate test methodology for the detection and genomic characterisation of foodborne pathogens in complex food matrices.
