Share of former smokers in Spain 2009-2022

In 2022, the share of smokers who have quit in Spain reached around 22 percent of the population, similar to the figures reported in the previous years. The percentage of former smokers increased by about three percentage points compared to 2009 in the European country, when the share of people in Spain who stopped smoking amounted to about 19 percent.
