Database - The Motor Signature of Spatial Transformation

In a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) study, we investigated corticospinal excitability during a motor imagery task involving spatial perspective transformations in a familiar environment. A total of 34 participants (one excluded) imagined pointing to familiar landmarks with their index finger toward targets located in directions either aligned or counter-aligned with their body orientation. Motor-evoked potentials (MEPs) were recorded from the first dorsal interosseous muscle, the prime abductor of the index finger.
