Sequence Analysis and MCA – Nursing Homes / EHPADs in France (2009–2023)

This repository contains the data and scripts used in the article analyzing the evolution of the EHPAD (nursing home) sector in France from 2009 to 2023 by the quantitative team of the AURELIA project: https://aurelia.site.ined.fr/en/.The study aims to assess, through empirical work, the theoretical models related to the transformation of the French welfare system.The repository includes two R scripts and two datasets:-Sequence Analysis Script – used to analyze operator trajectories and classify them into distinct groups based on their evolution over time.-Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) Script – used to relate these sequence-based classes to territorial and institutional characteristics.These resources provide a quantitative foundation for examining how structural changes in the EHPAD sector reflect broader shifts in social protection policies.
