PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fine fibrous cellulose capable of exhibiting excellent coating suitability when added to a coating material. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to fibrous cellulose having a fiber width of 1000 nm or smaller， in which when the fibrous cellulose is dispersed in water to form a dispersion having the viscosity at 23°C of 2500 mPas， and the dispersion is agitated at a predetermined agitation condition， the viscosity change rate calculated by a following formula becomes within ±50%. Viscosity change rate (%)=(viscosity after agitation - viscosity before agitation)/viscosity before agitation×100. SELECTED DRAWING: None
