NRS-4377 | Government Asylums for the Infirm and Destitute - registers of inmates

These registers show persons admitted to government asylums in the last two decades of the nineteenth century. They show name and age of patient; some details of their history, such as place of birth, date of arrival in colonies, and occupation; the institution to which they were admitted (generally abbreviation only) and by whom they were admitted; dates of admission and discharge; how discharged; general conduct in the institution; names and addresses of relatives in Australia, if any; and remarks. NRS-4377 [7/3801-05] are alphabetically arranged and relate to surnames commencing C-U only while NRS-3477 [7/3811-12] are chronological.
