Local volume galaxy catalog from "Constraining the Faint-End Slope of the FRB Energy Function Using CHIME/FRB Catalog-1 and Local Volume Galaxies"

This dataset contains a catalog of 814 galaxies within a luminosity distance of 21 Mpc, selected from version 1.1 of the Heraklion Extragalactic Catalogue (HECATE), compiled by Kovlakas et al. (2021, MNRAS, 506, 1896). It was used in the analysis presented in the manuscript "Constraining the Faint-End Slope of the FRB Energy Function Using CHIME/FRB Catalog-1 and Local Volume Galaxies" (submitted to The Astrophysical Journal, July 2025). The galaxies are all located within the CHIME/FRB telescope’s field of view (declination > -11 deg.), and no inclination cut was applied. The sample includes edge-on systems such as NGC 3252, the host galaxy of FRB 20181030A. The catalog is provided in a machine-readable .mrt format, with column definitions included in the header of the file. It is intended to enable reproducibility of the analysis presented in the associated manuscript and to support future studies of local FRB host galaxies.
