Groundcover Data

These data were collected as part of the [NSW Grazing Study](https://datasets.seed.nsw.gov.au/dataset/nsw-grazing-studyd114). A range of methods employed to characterise the groundcover at each of the 451 sites.\r\n\r\n1. An estimate of the percentage groundcover in five (5m x 5m) quadrats into the following categories; vascular plants, bare soil, litter (including an estimate of the percentage derived from groundstorey plants), biological soil crusts (e.g. cryptogams).\r\n\r\n2. Enumeration of the lineal metres of coarse woody debris (diameter >10cm) in five (5m x 5m) quadrats\r\n\r\n3. The size and abundance of perennial grasses. In five (5m x 5m) quadrats a count of the total abundance and diameter at base of twenty grass butts.
