资源简介:
Bactrocera dorsalis is a major notorious insect pest in vegetables and fruits and caused considerable economical losses for years. The symbiotic bacterial microorganisms generally play essential roles in insects in the long-term coevolution of microbiota-hosts. Like other insects, B. dorsalis harbored abundant symbiotic microbiota that play essential roles in nutrient absorption, development, and fitness. To understand the interactions across different tissues, we employed high-throughput sequencing technology to analyze the composition and diversity of overlapping bacterial microorganisms in guts and reproductive systems of B. dorsalis. Bacterial community structure was definitely investigated, Proteobacteria and Enterobacter comprised the most abundant symbionts in phylum and genus level, respectively. Alpha-diversity analyses revealed significant differences between microorganisms in female reproductive systems and other tissues. Additionally, functional prediction was conducted via Clusters of Orthologous Groups of proteins (COG) databases and the results showed an enrichment of metabolic-related processes. This study released a general catalogue of bacterial microorganisms in guts and reproductive systems of B. dorsalis, and may provide the targets served establishment of new biological pest control strategies.
