Malformed flowers were found in potted plants of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) cv. Cherie. There are several malformed phenotypes. In malformed flower (mlf) lines. We hypothesized that the malformation is due to mutation in relevant to morphological and thermal responses. In this study, RNA-seq of young flower buds and whole genome re-sequence of leaves were performed in plants of normal (WT) and mlf lines to verify this hypothesis and seek candidate genes.
