lcWGS data from Brook Trout in Quebec, Canada

These data are part of large-scale collaborative project called FISHES (Fostering Indigenous Small-scale fisheries for Health, Economy and Food Security). This community-based research partnership across Canada aims to interweave Indigenous knowledge and western sciences (notably genomics and fisheries science) to improve food security and fisheries stewardship in Northern Indigenous Communities. The specific goals were to characterize population genomic structure, investigate local adaptation and design tools for genetic stock identification analyses. Raw reads submitted here were generated from Brook Trout individuals collected from two lakes in Quebec, Mistassini and Mistasinishish.
