An empurpled cotton mutant is generated by T-DNA insertion, which contains over accumulated anthocyanins in the tissues such as leaf, stem and root. In this work, we compared the expression of protein-coding genes and miRNAs between the wild type and the mutant. Degradome sequencing is also used to investigate the miRNA-target interactions in cotton.
