Transcriptional profiling of in vitro cultured mouse hepatocytes and hepatocyte-derived biliary cells demonstrated that in vitro cultured cells recapitulates the major transcriptional features of in vivo biliary cells and hepatocytes. Overall design: Mouse hepatocytes were isolated from mouse liver samples and then cultured in vitro. Transcripts from in vitro cultured hepatocytes and hepatocyte-derived biliary cells were then sequenced for transcriptional profiling.
