This study analysed the transcriptome derived from RNA-seq data of muscles obtained from juvenile Holstein cows submitted to two diets with different energy levels. Genes and pathways associated with growth in cows were identified. RNA samples were prepared using Trizol method and their quality was controlled on Agilent chips. Illumina libraries and their single strand sequencing were achieved by I2BC (CNRS, Gif-sur-Yvettes, France).
