Socialization or experience? Institutional trust and satisfaction with democracy among emigrants in different institutional settings

The article is based on several datasources combined into three datasets. The main datasource used in all three datasets is the Global-SOM-survey, a survey that was carried out in 2015 among expatriated Swedes by the Society, Opinion and Media institute at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The first dataset is a combination of the Global-SOM, Comparative Studies of Electoral Systems (CSES) module 4 and the Quality of Government Standard CS dataset, carried out by the Quality of Government institute at the University of Gothenburg. The second dataset is similar but is based on the World Value Survey (WVS) round 6 instead of CSES module 4. The Third dataset is a combination of the Global-SOM survey and a representative survey of Swedes living in Sweden (Riks-SOM, 2014).
