Fecal Microbiota and Bile Acid Profiles in Early-Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Matched Case-Control Study

This dataset includes 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metagenomic sequencing data from fecal samples of subjects with cirrhosis, with or without hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The study aimed to investigate differences in gut microbiota composition and function while accounting for cirrhosis severity, as subjects were matched by Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) class. Sequencing was performed on Illumina-based platforms, generating data to explore microbial signatures potentially associated with HCC risk.
